The advancement in technology has left its impact on the mobile phone industry. The latest mobile phones integrate many advanced features including high resolution camera, efficient web browser, high density touch screen, capacity to send and receive emails, MP3 and MP4 players and lot more. The leading mobile brands including Nokia, Samsung and Blackberry have been launching many advanced mobile phones to survive the competition which has risen among them.

The leading mobile brands have joined hands with the major service providers such as Vodafone, Three and Orange to promote the sale of their handsets. These firms have formulated three kinds of Cheap Mobile Phone Plans including Contract Deals, Pay as you Go Deals and SIM free Deals. All of them have some advantages and some disadvantages, which we would discuss at length in this article.

Under Contract Deals, the company and the user sign a contract for a pre-defined time period. This contract may last between 6 to 24 months, depending upon user’s requirements. The user deposits a small security amount and is provided with his desired mobile handset at cheap rates. Along with this, the user is also offered many free gifts and incentives including expensive home appliances such as laptops, LCD TVs, gaming consoles, DVD players and free talk time, free texts, free line rental and free internet usage and reduced call rates for reducing the mobile phone charges.

The Pay as you go Deals are very flexible deals as they are free from any long term contracts. Under these deals, the user is free to deposit any amount in the mobile account as and when he desires. This way, he can also keep a check on his mobile phone expenditure. For as long as deposits last, the user is entitled to use the services provided by the company.

On the other hand, SIM free Deals are the most lucrative plans. Under these deals, the user is free to switch to the services of other company as when required. These deals are most suitable to the frequent travelers as they can shift to other companies as soon as they leave the political territory of their country.
